Anyone have this game...... how do you like it ?
thanks....
I purchased it because it was such a god deal. However since I have
installed it I can't get it to run. In Win95 and DOS when you start it
it causes a blank screen lockup. If been e-mailing tech support, they
tell me my video drivers are not DirectX certified. I have DirectX 5
installed and the video card does not give me any problems in other
games. If you buy it hope you have better luck than I did.
If anyone else has any suggestions for me I'm all ears.

Its excellent, tho has same design flaws of having supercars vs
realworldcars, no cops, tracks are circular and like highways instead
of twisty roads, and no 3dfx incar views. It's improved and tweaked
in every respect over NFS2, although tire noise needs tweaking. NFS3
is coming soon tho!

If you were a fan of NFS-1, the classic, it lacks open ended courses
(all are loops), cops and the fun car handling. NFS2/SE is also NOT a
redbook (full CD audio) like NFS1.
The replay value of NFS2/SE falls way below NFS1 in my opinion. I
played NFS1 for about a year and I've not booted up NFS2/SE in over a
week ...

I disagree. I can't get enough of NFS2se. I've had it for a few weeks and
if I don't play it everyday, I get withdrawal. Haven't even tried reverse
or mirror tracks yet. Only thing really missing is internet play. Still,
it's got split screen.

The poor track design is the worst part of NFS2 - I found only one or
two of them playable. It's supposed to be the need for SPEED, right?
Then why so little ashphalt? Most of the tracks are more like rally
tracks, and pretty crappy ones at that. NFS1 had way, way better track
designers, who actually knew how to create tracks that were fun to
drive on.
