Need for Speed II SE lock up

32 megs ram
Diamond 3200
Monster 3D
Direct-X 5
3DFX drivers (not Diamonds M3D drivers)
PAS 16 sound card

I installed the game fine, but after the beginning movie the game
locks the PC up solid (cntl-alt-delete doesn't even work) on the NFS
slash screen. Any idea? I've run various other 3dfx games no problem.
