Chris,
Laddy, you didn't say which card but the easy fix is to go to the
3dfx site and use their domestic drivers. These will work on just about
anything with the 3dfx Voodoo chipset and the sim should then work. It
worked for me, I had the same exact problem.
What version of Glide are you using? Despite it apparently requiring 2.43
to run, if that's all you have installed it won't recognise it. Either
get hold of an earlier verison of the drivers or just use f1voo.exe to
run the sim rather than the shortcut to ubisoft.exe.
Cheers,
Richard
The official English demo was available at http://www.f1racingsim.com
but was taken off due to some exclusives with PC Mags i think.
Should be back on soon.
There is a early "pirate" version still at
http://www.avault.com
I did download both and the official demo is much better and would only
recommend early "pirate" version if you are desperate.
Cheers

Apologies to those that have seen this posted several times before but this
seems to still be causing many people problems.
The new drivers from 3Dfx & Orchid deletes glide.dll from the Windows\System
directory & fails to replace it. You need to find the original version from
the CD that came with your card & put it back. Then F1rs will recognise you
have a 3Dfx card & allow installation of the voodoo rather than D3D version.
