GPL problems with V3 2000

by lomus.. » Sat, 25 Mar 2000 04:00:00

Hi

I've just bought this oldie and I have occasional crashes to desktop.
I am running the 1.2.0.1 on a K6-2 400, Aopen mobo, V3 2000 AGP, Dx7,
latest V3 reference drivers. No problems with other games.

Any hints? It seems to happen at the end of the first straight down at
Monza...

Cheers

-Alex

Similar Setup, but K6-2 500, Epox board, V3 2000 PCI and still Dx 6,
plus AFAIK the V3 drivers that were on the CD (August 99?).

No problems, apart from the mouse-in-the-menue trouble once or twice
plus WinVROC problem now and then.
Runs much better in high resolutions compared to the 8MB Rendition AGP
I used before.

I had similar problems with GPL crashing to the desktop, but they went
away when I replaced my cheap NIC with a 3COM.  Details in my FAQ.
