GPL demo - woohoo!

I tried the demo out about 4 months ago on a P-166 with no 3D card and
dismissed it within days as unplayable.  I decided to give it another
shot on my new P400 (Santa thought I was VERY good this year) and WOW!
I almost made a little mess in my pants the first few laps around . . .
my best lap in the Eagle trainer was 1:29 (stop laughing).  Consistancy
is a real pain, because I keep trying to convince myself I can push the
next corner just a hair further . . . :)  If I get anywhere near good on
this, I'm gonna have to go get the full version . . . BTW, I saw a while
back at Micro Center an offer on the box where you could trade in an old
game and get the purchase price refunded, is that still in effect??

Justin

P.S. Thanks for reading, even though I know you don't really care.  :)

Yes, you have to have a game (ANY game) by a qualifying publisher - and
there are quite a few.  I sent in MS Golf 1.0 for NR1999, though I'm still
waiting for the rebate.  Same offer for Viper Racing, too.

Did you get a 3d card with your new computer too?  If not you are
in for another very nice surprise.. if nothing else get a Voodoo 1 for
$30 or whatever you can get one for now.  I was using a V1 with my
p2 450 before I got the TNT and frankly it worked just fine.  Now I run
1024x768 instead of 640x480 but the game isn't really any different for
that.
