Anyone running K6-2 500mhz and a voodoo 5? I have a Voodoo 3 now
and wondering if a 5 will help on the fps. It looks and runs lousy on my system
now.Thxs!

You need more CPU power before you look at a new video card.  GPL is much
more dependent on raw MHz than on the video card.

K6-2's have relatively poor FPU performance.  Ditch the Socket 7 board, and
the CPU, and get a Celeron/Duron if your budget is limited.  Your frame
rates in GPL are probably entirely limited by your CPU so *any* new video
card might make no difference at all.

Actually, I didn't find a V5 faster than a V3 in GPL on my P3-650 system
(despite it being way faster in everything else), although it does have the
advantage of being able to run with FSAA.  I guess, and this is just a
guess, that GPL is still limited by CPU performance, even on a P3-650.  That
should give you a clue as to whether to replace your cpu or video card :)
