K6-2 vs K6-3

What is the difference between the K6-2 and the K6-3 on a 100mhz bus
as far as GPL is concerned?

I got the latest issue of the TigerDirect mail order mag. and saw
the K6-3.  The article says that it run's on a 100mhz bus and it was
relatively cheap.  So I thought that I *might* pick it up.  I might also
wait for the k7s to come down in price but not sure if I should wait
that long.

Basically it boils down to the game..IF it supports 3dNow! then the k63
performs very close to a P2400 or P2450.  If it doesn't, then its a bit
better than the K6-2.  Note that the K7 you will need a completely new
motherboard for because it actually sits in a Slot type architecture thats
mechanically the same as Intel's Slot 1, but not electrically compatible.
And since they aren't even scheduled to be out til at the very earliest
June, may be a long way before they come down in price. :)
