Anyone have any luck getting this wheel to work in XP? It installed ok
and kind of works with GP4, but it is very erratic in its feedback.

No. I guess Microsoft would say that it was never advertised to work with
Windows 2000, or XP.

I have an old game port MSFF that has been working well with WinXP for more
than 12 months, but it does seem that I am in the minority. I do recall that
I manually added "Microsoft Sidewinder (Auto Detect)" which (after a
reboot?) then shows as "Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel - OK". You
must not install any profile software, which can limit the games that you
can use it on (but mine works well with Grand Prix Legends and GTR2002, what
else is there?).

It will work with the mini-driver for Sidewinder devices.

But without the profiling software, of which there will never be an upgrade
for the Gameport version to XP, it's usefullness in todays games is greatly
limited.

And you will eventually run into games that won't work right with the
pedals.  I guarantee it.
