Has anyone tried the Drivers released yesterday from Diamond for the Monster
3DII. The last drivers didn't work with GPL and I'm wondering if these will.
I will try them tonight when I get home and post what I fine

Don't try em!!! :)  They don't work.  They do the same thing the last ones did.
My advice is to try the reference drivers for the Voodoo2 card.  They work
best, IMO.   :)

I tried 'em and went back to the version 203 drivers.  GPL gets about 1fps
better with the new 207 drivers and doesn't crash like it did with the 206's,
but the sound's fouled up in replays; it crackles and pops.  Also, Viper's ALL
fouled up still.  Back to the 203's and all's well. This is with WIN95OSR2 &
DX6.

Yeah same deal here, Eric T Busch explained in a string a little bit above here
that says what needs to be done.  Outside of GPL these drivers are nice (at
least for me).  Fps up 33% in Viper for me to 52.something, In TOCA all the
polygons are there (same with Viper), and other sims and games look and run much
better now....just wish I could get a few extra fps with GPL...oh well.

All you need to do  is just copy current (as in 203's) glide2x.dll (located in
system dir) in your GPL dir, then install 207.  Works fine for me now, GPL will
see no benefits while other programs will.

Doesn't work, the same problem is still there. I think 3Dfx has to release
their reference drivers first because Diamond's drivers are just slightly
modified from the reference drivers.

I moved the glide2x.dll file for ver.205 and it worked for GPL but I had to
load the reference drivers to run CMR demo. Does 207 work with CMR?

No, well at least demo is no...looks really screwy with whitish polygons and
everything just all wrong :-).  I guess CMR is like GPL. So you'll need glide
2.53 (which are in 203 drivers) still cause something's not right with glide
2.54 (205 and 207 M3DII drivers).

Will these drivers work with DirectX 6.1?  I installed dx61core.exe and
need to get back to 203 to get GPL to behave the way it used to.  If not,
what should I do?
