I've tried them and the triangles have gone away in Viper - but I still get
a bit of the cursor flicker in GPL.

The new drivers DID fix the problem. I also noted a big boost in fps...not
that it needed it...

I never tried the 3DFX beta drivers; thought I'd wait till Diamond got them
sorted a bit.  Well, no such luck.  The new (205) drivers left the screen in
the Viper Demo (oct. ver 2.2) literally covered in the dread polygons.  And the
FPS dropped about 2 on my WIN95/200MMX PC.  I fared better in GPL, but still
lost about 1 FPS, and the sound started popping in replays.  I managed to round
up some old(203) drivers, having brilliantly deleted the old ones, and all's
well again.
Back to the drawing board for Diamond.

Thanks to all for sending me drivers,

Steve B.

I use the beta DX6 drivers from 3dfx, and it _fixed_ my problem with
blue triangles.  Oddly, most reports are that these drivers _cause_ the
triangles :)

One thing I did different that _may_ make a difference.  I did not
install DX6 from the Viper CD.  I installed it using Windows 98
Auto-Update from their web site.

Maybe you should try the Viper game instead of the demo. After I installed
the new drivers, Viper is great. No missing polys, framerate is now at about
56fps at 800x600 with all options on...

I agree, to a point. The colors are much better and my fps in Viper went
from 46 to 51 w/everything on. Im still a little leary though, after
playing for about 10 mins (just after installing the updated drivers) the
game crashed (a first), exited to Windows and gave me the message "Are
your video drivers up to date?" While playing TAW, it also crashed and
gave me a message that it couldnt read the Glide video drivers. After
leaving the system off over night, I have played both games for extended
periods of time with no problems - hopefully no more problems.

You may have missed the point on this one,  I have been corresponding with
support on this one myself.
I have the lastest drivers from Diamond and still have these problems, what
I got from support is that there
may have been a conflict with my 3D AGP card which is a Number Nine
Revolution 3D.  Something to try
is go to run then type viper racing 1, this will isolate your video card and
will not accesss your monster 3D.
I did this and the polygons were not there, but my frame rate dropped from
40 to 17.  Those who I have talked
to said that one of the best video cards to go with is the diamond stealth,
as it supports rendition for most of
the sierra racing titles.

Good luck
