DIALUP 8 LINE NASCAR RACING!!!!

Subject: ALTERNTIVE RACING VENUE

Several of the IVGA members have approached us with the advent of NASCAR
2 and would like
to start there own NON-PROFIT RACING CLUBS.  These clubs would operate
like the existing
HAWAII MP service and you would dialup and race.  There might be a small
membership fee
to cover some expenses, but the racing would be free of long distance
phone charges.

NASCAR 2 provides for up to 8 racers through an IPX network to race
against each other.
An IPX can be either local network or a there is hardware that allows
for REMOTE IPX.

We are in the process of taking names by that and will help the members
find these
new resources.  These local clubs should prove very cost effective!!

We highly recommended to all members of the IVGA to join the NRL.

If you want to find out about these new clubs please send back to us:

If you want to start a racing site it will require:

        PENTIUM 200 Processor
        64MB RAM
        8 Line IPX Remote Access
8 33.6K Modem that will be upgradable to 57.6K
        8 Phones Lines
        2 GB Hard Drive

The IVGA can package this up for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don,

I have not tried this but the dial up networking in WIN95 should work fine
for IPX. There is no harware required. All you need is Remote Access
Service
running on a NT box with a bank of modems attached. Then people dial in
with
WIN95 and they are set.

Regards,

Lets say you want to be a host at your home and you have 5 friends that
want call you and linkup to race.

Couldn't you with one line, add a multiplexer to your pc and yes use
Win 95's dial-up networking capabilities with the IPX network???

Now I'm not sure exactlywhat type of performance your gonna get. But in
theory this should work.

If you want to use a single line from your home, than it would have
to be a MULTI_DROP line and support the IPX protocol that way,..
