Does anyone know of N2002 servers that are available either for free or
rental for hosting regular league races?
Looking for something with a decent connection to hold 20-25 cars and also
provide exports and reply files and allow boss to control settings.

I doubt you'll find any free ones out there but there are some rentals
available.

We used Blademan last season and when their ISP was 'on' they were pretty
good. They have apparently changed providers and are back in good running
order.

www.blademan.net

The only reason we left them was we got our own box and pipeline at a good
deal. Look to spend $25 per month per night (IE: Tuesdays all month = $25)
and $100 a month for a 24/7 server.

Try taking a look at www.onlineracin.com

Same end result, you can do your own standings export and replays- might be
a little more than members of the league want to spend, but the quality is
definitely there.

For the cost of getting everyone in the league signed up it would be
expensive I think, plus you need to run their software to connect.
Just looking for a decent free or pay host as an option to getting our own
dedicated connection/server.

Yeah, OLR isn't everything it is hyped up to be, it is simply an
alternative. Go to their site and get on the forum and read about the discos
and other problems. I wished them the best when they started that thing
(late 99 maybe) but they have never lived up to their hype. I was going to
attend their first LAN event in Myrtle Beach and the guy handling it was
such a jerk over email I wrote their entire existence off, they had one guy
come back from that event and pegged them all saying it was the 'buddy
club', everyone else was treated as second class. It was quite entertaining.
They'll be bankrupt before it is all said and done, especially when the big
money (namely TSW) sees what little return on investment they are really
getting.

Servers are too easy to setup or rent, require no redirector software, and
have much better connections IMHO.

Have to disagree with you on several points, but I'm not going to get into
this argument as it's been hashed over so many times.  If you liked the TEN
environment and what it had to offer...  OLR is a great service.

The one thing I will comment on is OLR offers alot of great features for a
very small monthly fee and the connections are extremely solid and I have
never been in a race with any kind of "disco" or connection issues.

.   Never seen any "disco" on OLR.   The racing I have done on their has
been rock solid.
