Ok due to popular demand, the access password for my little server is going
back on.  See the 'yo Jason' thread from Thu09 for more info.

The access password is 'ras'
The boss password is 'rasboss'

Connect with 'ras/rasboss' and review your servers.txt in the N2002 root
install directory for commands.

To use these commands, you must be connected as boss!

To change the track:
type !do_not_auto_start_next_race in chat
Then click 'back' say no to first prompt, say 'ok' to second prompt.
That will dump you to the track selection screen.

Don't forget !eject and !ban followed by either '#12' number or the drivers
name.

Hope this cleans up the action for ya Ed! :)

Jason,
What kind of specs does that server have??

Seems to me that it could use some more power... as there's no way we could
manage to get more than 13 guys on it before suffering from poor latency...

Btw, I could take control over it on saturday - using regulare boss password
('ras') :-)

Hey Jason - is the replay from the Kansas race still available?  If so, could
you send it to me please?  Let me know.

Its a P3-550 Katmai 512kb cache
Intel VC820 i820 chipset board
256MB PC600 Rambus

It could host about 2 dedicated servers with 43 players each.  Its shows
about 92% idle in W2KPro taskmanager with 15 people on the sercer.  The
issue is bandwidth.  As this server is running 24/7, you are sharing
bandwidth with my FTP server, my outbound requests for HTML etc..

I get about 2.5Megabit down and 380Kilobit up (dn250KB/s -- up45KB/s).  That
amount of upstream technically covers about 18-20 players, but it you happen
to be on when I'm at my workstation, its gonna suffer.

Two related follow up items:
check my mrtg stats at http://24.160.180.82:6000 - Look at rasbox(wan).  It
is it passing a good bit of traffic (ie meaning i'm tearing into somthing)
you may want to race later.

But - I have MS ISA server now and when I get it running I will reserve no
less than 20KB/s upstream for the IP addy of my server, and then limit it to
a about 9-10 players.

On saturday night when we rased on it  - if we had more than 13 guys on the
server the latency would just go thru the roof...   The list showed all of
us getting pings over 8-900ms.

Almost as soon as the 14th person logged of - the latency for all of us
would drop to normal....
