A lap around Lowes (C***te) from the***pit view!  This is gonna ROCK.  Looks
and feels just like GPL.  I can't wait!!!  Only thing is I can't see any of the
hood on the front of the car.  I thought I would be able to see that from the
***pit view.

The quality of this Realplayer stream is pretty bad.  But it's better than
nothing.  A lot better ;)

Go to http://www.racesimcentral.net/./html/agn3d-remote_display.cfm?LinkID=32432 and pick
the 80K stream.  First you'll need Real Player.  You won't regret it :)  I hope
there's better in-car footage forthcoming...

OMG!! The***pit looks fantastic. The light effect are marvelous. Sound is
great even through Realplayer.

I must have a problem on my end, I get continuous sound but one frame of
video about every 10 seconds :(

From what I've seen of in car views in actual Nacar races the driver
sits so low as to likely be unable to see any of the hood anyways...

My observation...

No <expletive>! -I get nothing at all. Connect keeps timing out. I'm
guessing this is one of those deals somebody couldn't save and upload
somewhere?

I've tried it multiple times now, same thing every time, one frame every 10
seconds.

I've been thinking about that.  It seems as though they should be able to at
least see the front of the car.  How else can they so successfully draft each
other bumper to bumper at 200 mph?  If indeed anyone can substantiate the fact
that drivers cannot see anything accept their dash - with factual evidence - I'll
leave it alone and be content that it is right.  Last years N3 trailer showed the
hood, though...

BTW - this Real Player stuff is VERY flaky.  I put them right up there with AOL.
Their program is like a plague on your PC and if you're not careful during
install it will install all sorts of junk, ie: NetZip (what the heck is that?).
It didn't get past me.

Also I tried unsuccessfully to save the .ra file to my HD.  It would not let me.

Then my already high impression of these drivers just went up considerably.
How they can race bumper to bumper at 180 mph, not see their front end, and
trust the other drivers is incredible.

Thanks Fran?ois, but I still think the consensus is wrong.

Take a look here at Bill Elliot -
http://www.racecar.com/images/be_drvx.jpg - now look to the extreme right and you
can see the top of the dash.  That dash doesn't even come up to his neck.  Trust
me - he can see his hood...

Go drive a stock car and let us know if you see your hood.  I know I
didn't...
