Eric, I noticed above some folks have been to Petty's Driving
experience and they couldn't see the hood.  I have an idea that might
help you convince folks that you guys have the perspective right.
I saw the TV commercial this morning for PDE and the civilian they
were strapping in was very low in the car.  His chin barely cleared the
door/window level.
I suggest anyone who has doubts about hood views, to go out to their
car, slink down in the front seat til your chin is level with the bottom
of the window on the side door.  Then look out and tell us if you can
see a hood on your passenger car.

Can't get past the preferences menu when trying to play the clip. Anyone
else with this problem? Suggestions?

TIA Larry

that is very likely.  Also the high speed connection out of LA going down
may have something to do with it, not being able to optimally stream back to
new York.

have you dloaded the latest free player from Real Player?  They are
up to version 7.  Get that, then make sure you choose real player and
DON"T use the AGN interface.

I disabled naviscope and downloaded RP Ver 7 and it works fine. Thanks.
Can't say that the small clips are very impressive though. Need a first
hand drive to get a feel for the physics model. Anything short of GPL
physics (though I understand the engine will be similar?) will be
disappointing.

Thanks again for the help

Guys, I've driven stock cars and each driver has a different place
they like to sit.  Earnhardt sits so low you can barely see him, other
drivers sit so high their heads almost touch the roof....it's all
driver preference and I don't really see why you are arguing over
this?

True, the proof will be when I can get behind the wheel myself.  But the
amount of movement, roll, etc seen from the clip indicates far improved
physics over N2/3.  Also it would appear that one doesn't just turn the
wheel in the direction one want to go and presto the car holds that
line.  There was alot of wheel movement to keep the car in the preferred
line.  Which once again indicates a physic engine far advanced over
N2/3.
