NT2003 Nascar Thunder 2003

[1]Does anyone know when or if EA's NT2003 is to be released in the
UK?
Last September was the date, then October, etc and still no show.
Reading some of the posts around the view is NT2003 is not as great as
originally predicted. Should I save my pennies for Papyrus's NR2003 in
February?

[2]Does anyone know if NR2002/NR2003 have the player car failure
(un-induced)enabled. It was referred to as Mechanical Failures on page
24 of the N4 manual, but was not included in that game. I've had the
odd 3rd gear go funny for no apparent reason, but the option, in one
of the ini files, always seems to set itself to 0. Any ideas?

Thanks

Absolutely.  No reason for the opposite, NT2003 is really not a simulation
of Papy's caliber.

There are several failures that can happen in the game but they are for the
most the result of the driver's abuse.  If you loose the gears, that's
because you've cranked it too much or that you didn't lift much.  IIRC there
is no car failures enabled in the game, but there is many things to the
engine and other parts of the car that can stop working if abused.  Watch
those gauges ;)
