Okay, hasn't it been out a few days now? Haven't seen a single post about
it. Whenever Papy released a sim there was hundreds of posts the first day!
I have NH and with the truck patch it's AWESOME! I was looking forward to an
update, but apparently the team is focusing on trucks for NT2003... Looking
forward to it.

I don't think the PC version is out for another week or two.  ANd only
Charles is big on consoles here....  :)

I just got the latest issue of NASCAR Winston Cup Scene. There is a two-page
ad in the center advertising NT2003. Underneath the logo it states, "Now on
PC." I wonder if they are releasing it before the 21st-22nd as I've seen
stated before?

Just by looking at those video they have during the NASCAR broadcasts, I
doubt it will be much talked here, probably only moderately.  It feels
wrongs and it looks wrong on screen.  It's not crafted like Papyrus can
craft a NASCAR sim.

I have the Gamecube version and it's pretty good for a game with an arcade
style physics model.  As I said the physics can't touch NR 2002, but the
presentation is top notch.  This is the first game I've seen to include the
twin 125's and the Winston in season/career modes, Papy could learn some
things from EA in presentation.  Also the career mode adds greatly to the
replay value (if you can forgive the shortcomings in the physics),  it
allows you to hire all members of your team from pit crew to engine
builders, and gives you control over sponsors and building of engines and
chassis for your race car.  If future versions improve on the physics this
could be a series to give Papy a real run for their money.

I believe the PC version does not have a career mode.

You are correct. They gutted it out of the game. No dedicated servers
either.

Magazines are assembled months before actual issue dates.  So the add was
included well before now, and...the subscriber often gets an issue several
weeks before it's available on a newstand.  Somebody else here commented in
September that they had a magazine with the add that said available
now...trouble was the magazine was the October issue.

Aren't they still using the console versions of NT 2002 on the
broadcasts?  And if not, are they showing the console or PC version?

OK, I was just curious.

BTW - Winston Cup Scene is a weekly newspaper for the entire NASCAR major
league scene. They compile it the Monday after a race (unless of course
there's a rain-out).
