First of all, I have a life. Which is something more than I can say about
you "EA Rules!" (Oh gee, did you get paid to say that?) Well then, let's
take apart your message here.
> You geeks have broken down Nascar Revolution again and again! Enough
> already. So you Mordots think that NR99 is all that? Well let's
> breakdown this "Sim"
Hell, I don't care if you like N-Rev. If you wanna go around proclaiming
your love for it, fine, go ahead. But calling it a sim would be like calling
Mr. Bean a drama.
And if you want to do something useful in this world, otherwise proving that
you're a geek also here (BTW, in my opinion, geeks are starting to become
the coolest thing in the world), why don't you shut up, sit down, and work
on utilities to enhance N-Rev? Go hack into it and create some tracks for
it.
Wow, that's something I haven't heard yet. (Sarcasm) Granted, there could've
been a better pit crew in N99. While we're on something we didn't know could
happen in real life, I wasn't aware that when a real driver entered the pits
his car went under remote control. Wow, that's pretty amazing, don't you
think?
If you're so concerned with how the smoke and dirt look, look around the net
to try to find a more realistic smoke/dirt patch. I"m sure they're around
here somewhere.
Hmm...and what are you doing by the way in hopes of getting black flags?
Once again, if you want a steering wheel, look around the net and you can
find a better***pit which has a steering wheel and shifter in it. Now, the
wheel doesn't move, but hey, that's not my fault.
I wasn't even aware NR99 left skid marks. My question is, what's really the
use of skid marks? Oh yeah, I really wanna see where I spun out at.
Oh, the maturity in this newsgroup is amazing! (More sarcasm)
And I did not realize in a true simulator you could possess the bodies of
Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, or Dale Jarrett. A simulation is a simulation, its
not real life..its as real as real life without actually being there.
Ok, can we please stop the "realizing" of real life stuff, its getting
rather annoying. And sorry, after a Talladega race in NR1999 where I slammed
into the back of Bill Elliot after he spun out tells me that the brakes in
NR1999 aren't the type that can "stop on a dime".
Its called spinning of tires. Granted I don't like the 90 degrees turn it
makes, but tire spinning is something that happens in real WC cars. (Dale
Earnhardt at the infield of Daytona in 1998)
That's all? I'm dissapointed you could only find eight flaws to write about,
cause I could write more than eight for N-Rev. And why did you list a #9? Is
that a problem you have with yourself?
And here's my bottom line, stop calling N-Rev a simulation. That's the only
problem I have. If you want to come on here and talk about how great it is,
that's fine by me, but jeez...stop saying its a friggin' sim! The "almighty
Sierra" series isn't the only company that makes sims that I think are
great..let's see, Bethesda has out Burnout:Championship Drag Racing. Then we
got the company whoever made GP2. And take a look at Motorsport Simulations
Inc., they look rather promising with their AMA Superbike sim. I agree with
you, there is life after Sierra...but don't look to the arms of EA.
Losers? Look who's talking Mr. "EA Rules!".
