WinVROC question

This is a follow-up to my earlier post. It seems that about 90-95% of the
time, I don't get a green flag when connecting with WinVROC.  The 'chat'
blinks a couple times & stops, and then it indicates that the practice
session is over.  I can move to the second page, but I don't get a green
flag there.  I know that this is a problem with 1.2 (it said so on VROC!),
but does it happen this often to everyone?  Wow is it annoying.

Meanwhile, when I host races, no one seems to be able to stay connected.  I
know that's a real general comment - but, honestly, even when I was using my
winmodem (I know, I know, winmodem=evil) people were able to stay connected
better than this.  Nowadays I have a DSL connection through Bell Atlantic at
640/90 and no one seems to be able to stay connected!  The most I've ever
managed to have stay connected is one person!  Often, people get dumped
right as the practice session ends.  Is there something I'm doing wrong with
the hosting on WinVROC?  I sure can't guess what could cause this....

Basically, I can't race online (since VROC locks my computer - see earlier
post) and the FAQ's that Alison posted and the VROC FAQ's, though
informative, haven't actually helped at all.  I miss my online racing!!!

Any ideas?  Any of you other Bell Atlantic DSL folks have troubles?

Thanks!

-Mark
