How to set up TSW in F1 2000?

I've got a TSW that I want to set up for my newly-purchased F1 2000. Trouble
is, The game doesn't seem to recognize that the TSW exists.. This is bad.

GPL knows I have the wheel, clutch and all.. Why doesn't F1 2000?

Oh, and the machine is up to it. pIII 600 with v770 ultra. At least.. I hope
it's up to it. I want to find out.

I'd appreciate any advice on fixing this minor point.

If memory servers, F12000 is kinda funky in how you set your controls. The
first option for each setting is keyboard, you have to skip that and go over
to the wheel option, or joystick, can't remember how it is exactly, and then
set them from there. If you set the controls from the first option it gives
for each movement, then it would appear your wheel is not recognized.
I'm running it with a TSW2 with no problem.

To set the gas, start out with the brake depressed then release the
brake as you press down on the gas.  Reverse procedure for the brake.
There are several games where I've had to do that.

Also, make sure you're properly calibrated in Windoze.

Hmm.. okay, But I can't even get the Steering input to read properly... and
that's top of the list.

I will try the brake/throttle thing. Maybe it will help in that portion.

Ya know.. even GP2 allows controller-driven settings. Geez.

When I could not get F1-2000 to recognise my MSFF in desperation
I edited the Player.PLR file to the following:

CT_SteerRight=1
CT_SteerLeft=2
CT_Accelerate=4
CT_Brake=12

This gave me Split Brake/Gas and functional steering.

YMMV
