GPL Modem Settings

I have a Creative Labs DI-5601 modem. It is an ISA slot
controller-based modem. Works fantastic in all applications, but only
so-so in GPL. I want to force the modem into a lower speed for VROC
use (currently the modem hooks up at 49333 most of the time,
occasionaly 48000). I contacted Creative support to have them help me
set up a string to do the following:

Disable error correction
Disable data compression
Set to hardware flow control
Set the floor connect speed to 19200
Set the ceiling connect speed to 33600

I realize I can make these settings in control panel, and I have. But
not to be redundant, I want a string to ensure that these parameters
are met. Just like the speed; even if I set it lower, it still
connects at the same speed. Creative sent me this:

AT%C0N0&K3+MS=11,1,19200,33600

Of course, it doesn't work. Anybody with Creative experience have any
ideas?

AT&F1M0&K3S15=2S11=38S27=16S0=0&n14

is what I set my USR sportster to.  The &n14 is the important one, sets
connect speed to 28800.  &n13 would set it to 26600, etc.  Also, you should
set your tcp/ip packetsize to Small under the controlpanel/Network screen.
