Ok here goes--
I get an modem will not init. failure when trying to use the modem option in
N1999. I checked all my settings and matched then exactly to my N2 settings,
which work well.
com2
USR sport. set at 9600 (actually a 56K)
init string  AT&F^M~~~AT&K0&M0&N6^M
the cd is in the drive

any clues appreciated

Try a higher baud rate, that might make it work.
