Stealth II HELP!

Stealth II HELP!

by Jeff Rigdo » Thu, 30 Oct 1997 04:00:00

I just purchased a Stealth II card and cannot get it to work with N2 dma
mode.  The error message states unabe to initialize board then questions
whether a VESA driver is installed.  I replaced a 3d PCI Blaster from CL
and it worked fine with N2 dma.  Kinda strange.  Any help will be
GREATLY appreciated.  Please email as well as post.  Thanks.

>I got really frustrated with the Stealth II and took it back because it

would not run in Windows.  Everything was just getting screwed up.  Granted
I am far from a computer whiz but I did follow the directions.  I'll try
again someday, but I will have some help.  Pentium 150, 32 RAM.

Question:  Where are you guys buying the Stealth II?  I have called
numerous mail order places and no one has it.  Thanks!

Dunno about mail order, but my local CompUSA and Computer City both had
them in stock earlier this week.

The Stealth II *is* the S220.  Rendition V2100 Chip.  And yes, it will only
run N2 from Win95 environment (that I know of so far, I'm sure there will be
someone soon who can find a way to get it to work in DOS)
