Stealth II and ICR2 Rendition help...

by John Wehm » Wed, 29 Oct 1997 04:00:00

Well, I switched to the Stealth II card with the rendition V2100 chip, and now
ICR2 won't run (not in clean-boot DOS, not in Win95 DOS, and not in Win95 ->
boot to DOS).  Says that the Verite chip isn't present, or something like
that.  My question is: is it *supposed* to work?  I would think so.  If it
doesn't, I'm thinking of returning it and putting back my Intense3D.

BTW, N2 does run better (I can keep 30FPS with all graphics on except
smoke/dirt and 20 drawn ahead/10 behind with the -4 renddma option on my P166.
I used to be able to squeak out 25 FPS)

Regards,

John Wehman

P.S.  The Stealth package has no real games, just demos - I thought that kinda
bites.

Rumor has it that Sierra has a new *exe file for ICR2 to work with the
new Verite 2x00 chips.
