Has anyone been able to get ICR2 Rend to run on a Stealth II card? If
so, how?

There's an outrageous series of steps that will supposedly let you run
it directly from a command-prompt boot, but I was unable to get
anything to work without starting up Win9x first, then going to MS-DOS
mode.  I went completely to MS-DOS mode because my PC required a re-
boot after running ICR2 Rend anyway (DOS prompt would leave the card
screwed up in windows).  Nothing compared to what I have to do now that
my Voodoo3AGP is now my primary video card ;)!  GPL is the best thing
since sliced bread, but it's amazing how much fun ICR2 can still be
after all these years - especially running in traffic on ovals.

You should also get the V2DOSFIX.ZIP file from www.theuspits.com and
apply it to your ICR2/CART executable.

There were alot of posts about how screwed up the graphics are (i.e.
***pit/mirrors), but all you need to do is turn off anti-aliasing (Alt-
A), and replace the sp3d.uc file with the latest one as below.
I have CART racing, but here are my file dates and sizes:
CART.EXE 4/11/99 (modified by v2dosfix) 1,219KB
SP3D.UC 8/17/97 71KB <- not sure where exactly I got this version, but
it's what works.

PS Get the latest FedEx99 carset with the painted nose sides - it's
awesome!

PPS PAPYRUS PLEASE MAKE ICR3!!!!  Could there be any better use of the
GPL engine right now?  Not too many cars, Sir Geoff Crammond has the
next generation modern GP game covered, etc.  I'll only forgive you if
the rumours are true about GPL2 covering the GP turbo era ;).
