weeks, cause of an inflammated shoulder. Since I've kept uptodate I've
read about F3 online, so I started out with that yesterday and joined
a couple of Mike Barlows races on VROC. The best one we had was an 11
laps race at Monza. Mike took pole, I second and I think we were at
least six or seven. I and Mike had a lovely battle for two or three
laps, changing position twice, then I lost it in Parabolica. I
rejoined fourth, around seven second behind third. I noticed I was
gaining, but just a little lap by lap. It seemed that I might catch
third before the end, so I pushed :o). On the last lap out of second
Lesmo I was on thirds tail and my heart was going like crazy. I
slipstreamed passed him on the straight, braked for Parabolica on his
inside, made it, accelerated towards the finish line just a couple of
tenth after second and a couple of tenth in front of fourth.
It turned out that Mike ran out of fuel, so I actually came second,
but what a race :o). The slipstreaming is truly a factor in F3 online
and it's so fun :o). In F3, if you're just a little bit faster than
the car in front of you, you can actually pass him, this is almost
impossible in F1 racing.
/Christer, thought you should know :o)
