Electronic Arts sends 3D Gamers the playable demo for Need For Speed: Hot
Pursuit 2, offering the opportunity to take this imminent action racing
simulation for a spin. The demo contains the Single Challenge mode where you
can try out a 2 lap single race on the Calypso Coast track using a choice of
two cars (Ferrari 360 Spider and Porsche 911 Turbo).

Not a bad demo at all. Nothing earth shattering. Still the same format as the last few NFS
games but with some humorous arrest scenes and well rendered car models. Especially in the
car select screen. Unfortunately I didn't see a***pit view. Perhaps I missed the option
to turn that on.
Not sure it's anywhere near being a "racing simulation", but it is "imminent". I like the
helicopter dropping bombs along your path , and the stop motion effects when you hit them
:-(

Meanwhile lurking by a stone in the mud, two eyes looked to see what I
was and then redTed spoke and this is what they said to me.......

I loved the original Hot Pursuit, it was great fun. It had some of the
best force feedback I've had in a car 'sim' as well. This looks like the
same kind of deal with knobs on.

Clothes of brass and hair of brown
Seldom need to breathe
Don't need no wings to fly
And a heart of stone
And a fear of fire and water
Who am I?

Well the roads look a little more realistic..
