NASCAR problem on Pentium

I just bought Nascar (the disk version) but the thing doesn't want to
work. It starts up fine but when I select an option on the main menu
the highlighted option turns grey and then the game frezze. If anyone
has anything info that could help me it would be great if you could email
me as I don't have the time to hunt the USENET at the momment.

BTW. I'm running it on a P60 with 8meg ram and have tried the CD version
of the games with the same result.
