It's out and available at bhmotorports.com if you have BitTorrent
(lots of people sharing too, managed to max out my downstream getting
it).

The layout seems as accurate as anything we've had in a sim.  Just
from a few laps and getting an initial impression it seems to have a
similar level of detail and track layout accuracy as the GP4 and
GTR-demo versions, which are both very nice.  I'd give it a big thumbs
up, much better than the F1c-inspired Magny Cours they released
several months ago.

Looks good downloading now.

Between TR's Spa and SimBin's in the GTR demo, I feel like I live in a
forest in Belgium.  I've been driving the TPTCC's Touring Cars (kinda F2
cars to the T/A's F1) and the combo is fantastic!  Feels a lot like the
Lister Storm, only more Papyrus-y.

Another reason to get the latest (2.4) ver of the TPTCC nod: a nighttime ver
of Sebring...complete w. headlight FX!  They look remarkably like the real
thing...only I can't find the switch for the high beams!

AAMOF, there's too much forest in the sim. There's a nice place where
you can watch from outside the track where the view is unobscured in
reality (although during an F1 race you probably can't get there :)

Well, as I remember from Malmedy in 1944 (or "Band of Brothers" on the telly
last nite), the forestation in the Ardennes is lovely, dark and deep...but I
have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.  ;o)

It is. Except for the few spots where it isn't ;)

Yeah, I've been driving those physics too.  I love the default pta,
don't get me wrong, but the new pta physics feel quite a bit more like
what I'd expect out of a trans am-spec car.  Zandvoort is an absolute
blast in the new physics.

Anyone have a link to download the 2.4 TPTCC physics?  (Currently, I have 2.1)

Thanks!

The weight and horsepower are reduced...that is the biggest change and
Tim limited some of the setup options.  So a SLOW Trans Am car...:)

It's not *supposed* to be a T/A; it's supposed to be something more along
the lines of a DTM or BTCC car; much lighter than a T/A (thus more grip and
demon brakes) and abt. half the horsepower.

Yeah, the limited setup options is pants...altho I do love being able to
dial in more than 1.8 deg. of neg. camber at the back.

I might have give the new TPTCC a chance.  The last version I drove felt
like driving a bar of soap around a jelly bowl   =)

You know, no matter how badly one might suck at this track, or road-racing
in general, you just can't help but LOVE the ring :)

I feel the same way about SPA too.

What are you guys talking about ?  New "PTA" physics, Pants, limited setup
options....  I'm lost.

The Pants part really screwed up my head :)

When a Brit says something is 'the pants,' that is just a slang term.
We Yanks might say...it sucks.  Just know that pants is bad.
Next...you might have heard of Tim McArthur's endurance league.  One of
his notions is to have mixed class racing.  So he's gotten a hacked exe
of Nr2k3 that changes some of the physics of the cars...lighter
weight...less horsepower and a few other odd bits.  So the advantage with
that concept is  the fast GT type cars in the tptcc mod can race online,
side by side with these slower lighter cars.  KINDA like Porche 911's
sharing the track with Audi R8's.
