The Ring is about the only track I drive anymore.  Almost all other
tracks now bore me to death, seem flat as pancakes in comparison,
are just dry technical exercises in perfecting your braking points
and lines, etc.  But the Ring is more of a mystical experience. :-)
I still drive old Spa when I'm in the mood to keep it floored 80%
of the way around, tho: the new section on this new modern
version I find rather uncompelling...

Like Dave sez: the 2 classes are GT and TC, akin to GPL's F1 and F2.  The
TCs are much lighter (ca. 2400 lbs.) much less powerful (ca. 300 hp)., and
have one less gear, but have abt. the same amt. of *** as the GTs, thus
have monster grip and demon brakes.  Not sure abt. the fuel economy, but at
a track like Avus, Daytona, or Le Mans, the GTs would be much faster.  At
Symmons Plains, Phillip Ilsand, or Heartland, the two classes should be much
closer in lap times.

Damn, I was hoping this was the old FULL SPA.

I know noonan's converter does Spa and the Ring, but the graphics at the
ring are all screwd up (even with the patches).

Has anyone created a FULL version of SPA and the Ring that is really tidied
up nicely?

Me too.  I was hoping it was the old SPA but alas it's not.  It's better
than a lot of road courses, but it's not what I was hoping for :(

Hm.  Nurby has the "floating track" thing which seems to creep into
every conversion of it, but I haven't had any issues with the
conversion of spa from the full/patched n2003 converter.  Are you
having any specific graphic bugs there or are you just looking for a
PWF-style makeover?

Well that, and the screwed up my favorite corner in the
multiverse, Eau Rouge.  I don't mind having to go thru
there slower, but I DO mind (a) having the front tires
go into a skid going up the hill, and (b) the rear tires
losing traction when they crest the hill.  And I say that
knowing that Papy's GPL version is probably faster
than it was in '67...

I'd like to see shadows on both tracks, something which hugely
impresses me about both the new Spa as well as the new Le Mans...

PWF style make-over.

SPA is ok.  My favorite road course.

THe Ring conversion is just plain goofy in area's...
