New Voodoo3 Drivers Released

by Phil G » Sat, 30 Oct 1999 04:00:00

I was just at the 3Dfx gamers site (3Dfxgamers.com) and found they
released new drivers for the Voodoo3 boards.

Here is the short blurb from their site:

"Voodoo3 2000/3000 WHQL Win9x Retail Drivers - AGP/PCI Boards Version:
1.03.00

Download Updated: 10/28/99
Page Updated: 10/28/99

What's new in 1.03.00:
1. Separate kits for DirectX 6 and DirectX 7 support
2. Fixed desktop corruption issues
3. Fixed power management and screensaver issues

System Requirements

Windows 9x

Voodoo3 2000 or 3000 AGP/PCI-based Accelerator
Correct version of DirectX for kit downloaded"

As you can see they have a different version for DirectX 6 and DirectX
7.

My question is:  Which is the recommended version of DirectX for GPL, 6
or 7?

Thanks,

Phil

I bet they didn't fix that MGPRS2 - stutter, did they?

It still stutters in the highest resolutions.
