Help Changing ICR2 Track Directory Names?

by Jeff Vince » Tue, 11 Nov 1997 04:00:00

I'm trying out some of the updated Rendition patches for ICR2.
What I'd like to do is to install both the patched version as well as
the original version of the track (in two separate directories), to
compare them head to head.  My problem is getting ICR2 to like the
file/directory name changes.

I've changed the names of the track directory, track.dat, and
track.txt files to match.  (I.e.: dir RClevlan, RClevlan.dat, and
RClevlan.txt)  When I do this, ICR2 reports it is unable to load the
track with the changed names.

If I only change the directory name, ICR2 doesn't want to load,
period.

If I use the same directory name, DOS becomes unhappy. ;)

So what's the trick?  Thanks for your help, email might be best
(wouldn't want to interupt the deep thoughts on CPR :).

Before you send me UCE, I know what you're thinking...  Did he complain
to five or six postmasters last month?  Now, you must ask yourself one
question: "Do I feel lucky?"  Well, do you, punk?

Help Changing ICR2 Track Directory Names?

Hi Jeff,

Unpack all the files, and rename the ones related to the old name,
to that of the new name (laguna.3do > laguna1.3do, laguna.trk >
laguna1.trk, etc.).  Then simply repack the track, and rename the
directory, dat and txt-file.  =)

Cheers!
