1. Tried to convert atlanta & watkins glen from nascar2 demo to
 icr2 with Mr.G.Lingenbergs converter. Worked okay but the game says
 not enough memory to load track.
 I have other converted tracks from the net (darlington,taladega) and
 they work real fine.The other tracks I found on the net ( kloster,expo
 park, las vegas,mantorp and indianapolis from indycar1) also work.
 I compared the content of the .dat files but didn't see any difference.
 I tried to get some other tracks out but it didn't help.
 So if some one knows how to correct this please help me.

2. Does anybody know how to make the nascar2demo work with only 8MB RAM?

3. does there exist a track-convertor from icr2 to icr1?
 On my system the handling of the icr1 cars with joystick is much better
 than the one of the icr2's

4.The patch for removing the copy protection from icr1, from the site
 posted afew days ago, does not work in version 1.1.Do not use it unless
 you back up the entire game.(corrupts more than the .exe file)

5.The patch to update icr1 ver. 1.1 to 1.04 works but I can't get around
 the password.I have the german version (book & game).It seems the patch
 uses the english version.

My system is a rather slow one: pentium P 60,8 MB RAM,1MB Graphics
ati mach 64 pro.

Hmmm....I don't think there's a converter available to work from
N2 > ICR2...I think you may have tried to use the original N1 >
ICR2 utility?...Or perhaps someone else made this converter?

The demo *requires* 16Mb, sorry.

Gerhard's converter only works on NASCAR1 tracks.  The track format is a
different animal in NASCAR2.

Don't tell anybody, (especially Sierra since they think there is only
the English version of ICR1), but the old ftp site that Papyrus had for
patches for ICR1 still exists.

There you will find the German patch.  I don't know if this crack works
on all the language releases, but for 1.04 it was:

            FILE TO SEARCH:  INDYCAR.EXE

            SEARCH STRING: E8 EA E1 FD FF  CHANGE TO:  B8 04 04 00 00

            SEARCH STRING: E8 5C 5F FE FF  CHANGE TO:  B8 04 04 00 00

BTW:  What ever happened to the 1.05 patch?
