SB16 Pnp and Vibra no joystick in game

Hello all.
I am a lurker usually but follow the group regularly.  I have something
worth while to add so here goes...

It seems that the cards made by creative labs for OEMs called Vibras come
with software provided by the OEM.  So in my case, what happened is that it
was not installed properly to run under the restart in DOS mode for Win95.
The bottom line is that Sierra wasted my time 3 times and finally I called
Creative Labs.  The girl there went well out of her way to help me.
If you have a Vibra PnP you need to get the CTCM and whatever the other
driver is called.  It is for PnP SB16 and AWE32, Vibra cards to configure
the SB for DOS.  Then you have to edit the DOSSTART.BAT and add the manager
and drivers so that the SB is loaded when you restart in DOS mode.  That
did the trick..

Hope this gets some people straighten out.  All in all I love the new
Nascar but it is a buggy piece of software!  Papy get that damn patch
made!!!!  And please address this issue.  I would call, but I have already
spent more on phone calls to Sierra than the damn game cost!!!!

So, you want Papyrus/Sierra to provide you with patches/software fixes for every piece of
hardware out there?

Grow up.

We are working on a patch to address some of the bugs that have been
reported.

However, regarding your sound setup, even you admit that your computer
was not properly configured to run with sound in restart to DOS mode.
IMO, that problem falls outside of what game software should be
reasonably expected to deal with. When you configured your machine
properly, our game was able to correct access your sound card. That's
the reason PCs are configurable so that software can work on a wide
variety of properly configured hardware.
