Hello All - I have Nascar, Indy500, and SuperKarts and they are all good, but
they are much better with the steering setup I built rather than a joystick.

*** HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN STEERING WHEEL, GAS & BRAKE AND SHIFT LEVER ***

First off - If anyone else is messing with this stuff - I would like to talk
to you about your research and what you found works good...and of course I'll
do the same. . .

If you are interested in building/experimenting with making your own steering
wheel setup like a T1 or Virtual Pilot, this is it. . .If you are interested,
send me a message. . .Hopefully some of you will experiment also and we can
find the BEST setup for everyone to use for each game. . . . .

will post the initial message here also, but hopefully after a some trial and
the best setup can be achieved for a FRACTION of the cost. ..I have about $17
in my steup and I have a plastic steering wheel, gas pedal, brake pedal, and
have not yet completed the shift lever (Gas in some games).

So please, if you are interested in making your own "virtual dashboard" or
want to experiment and help me with any suggsetions, send me a message and
I'll send the info to ya.

BTW: My latest fix to my wheel is a fine tune for centering. . .

C ya later -

I just finished a home made stearing wheel. There is a guy ain American
Online that posted some scematic drawings and instructions.  I took the
electronic parts from a joy stick that had broken.  I built the Wheel and
support from PVC plumbing pipe. The Peddles where harder.  I ended up
taking the Broken Joystick base and fixing it so it only pivits one way.
Next I attached peddles and extra Springs so it pops back quicker - Still
I cant react nearly as quick as when using the keyboard for accelleration.
Optomally each peddle should have its own joystick axis, along with the
wheel.  This would require fooling the computer into thinking that yiou
have two joysticks.

let me know what you know and I will try to contact the guy at AOL.
