Nascar 1 pit question

Nascar 1 pit question

by Jeffrey M. Georg » Tue, 22 Apr 1997 04:00:00

Greetings. I finally have a moment to get back to this newsgroup and I
wanted to bring up something that's puzzling me. Consider the following:

I tell my pit crew to change 1 tire and put 10 gallons of fuel in the
tank. Why would it consistently take them 20+ seconds to do this?  The
car is damaged but I've told them NOT to fix the damage. Is it possible
that the time is being allotted to fix the damage anyway?  And if not,
how come after leaving the pit I no longer have the option to fix the
damage and the car is still damaged (visually and performance-wise)?

Thanks for any enlightenment.

If I sound like a ranting madman, it's probably because of my insanity.

Who are you and who am I?
You say we know the reason why
Some are born, some men die
Beneath one infinite sky.
There'll be war, there'll be peace
But anything, one day, will cease,
All the iron turned to rust,
All the proud men turned to dust.

Do you have wheel damage?  If you do, then you cannot refuse the
repairs, they will be done no matter what.

Kind of hard to drive a car with three wheels.

Damage to the car that would (in real life) affect the safety of the
car (damaged fender that would "rub" on the tire) MUST be fixed,
regardless of the setting of the F9 pit box.
