i can't seem to get toca to use my monster 3dfx.  the box indicates it uses
3dfx and the support guys are useless. any suggestions?

In the options menu there is a section for the graphics.
Make sure that the display device is set to use the 3Dfx card.
When you move the cursor to the box it will show you at the bottom of
the screen which display device it is using.
You should change it to display device 2 so that your 3Dfx card is
choosen.

   That's because TOCA uses Direct 3D as a mean of doing video
acceleration. You won't see the 3Dfx logo at the start of the game. You
have to go in the DirectX control panel and tick off the box that
mentions: ?Hardware acceleration enabled? or something like that.
