Newbie has ?'s about NASCAR and ICR2

by Uncle Ey » Wed, 24 Jul 1996 04:00:00

Please don't flame me too hard but I am a newbie to auto sims and I have a
few questions about Nascar & ICR2.
I purchased ICR2, had it about 1 week and was so impressed I bought NASCAR.
I don't particularly like stock car racing but this sim is GREAT!!
Any way my questions:

NASCAR
1. I use a game pad for control. I have acheived 178.624 mph on Michigan.
Will a wheel/pedal combo give me much more speed?
2. Is this speed good, bad average???
3. I have a hard time hugging the wall on the straights without bumping it.
I would love to run with full damage on, but I keep trashing the car. Any
suggestions?

ICR2
1. Using same controls, I have acheived 206.926 at MIS. Good, bad,
average??
2. Game pads are extremely difficult on road courses, so will wheel/pedal
combo help tremendously on these? (I know it sounds stupid but I'd like to
know before I spend $$$. :))

Thanks for any help you can give. You can post any answers here or e-mail
me:

Thanks again!
How long a minute is depends upon which side of the bathroom door you are
on.

I would get a wheel regardless, it's more enjoyable all around.
