Help !! Having T2 problems with ICR2

by J_YEA.. » Mon, 16 Dec 1996 04:00:00

After having ICR 2 for the last 6 months or so and playing with a mouse
:(, I was very happy to have recived my T2 as an early Christmas gift.
However, since I've installed it I'm having problems.
I can't fully depress the gas pedal all the way. It's like I let off the
pedal completely. When that happens the volume cuts out or fluctuates.
I can't shift the car with the stick shift. It keeps saying that the
keys on the keyboard are where I shift ( and that's after I'm trying to
modify without the auto shift being on).
The other thing is the feel of the wheel. The car is very prone to
understeer and be very sensative to drive. I'm using the same set-ups
that I drive with the mouse. I went back and "drove" with the mouse
after that, and the car handled just fine. I'd really rather drive with
the T2.
Has anyone had problems like this ?
If anyone has any ideas to solve my problems, please e-mail me or post
the solutions to the group ASAP.

Thanks,
Jeff Yeager

I haven`t noticed this - but the sound does fluctate when you get off the gas.
this is normal. As for the other probs, I`d say there is a problem with
your T2 pedal.

Have you gotten the 102-patch? It does help cure some of the understeer, but I
also find that the car understeers too much with the T2. Actually, the
less lock you wind, the less it pushes. You`ll just have to get used to
it. I have started to brake left-foot to make the car oversteer into the
corners. A fast setup will be a very nervous/loose setup. Use no more than
16 deg wheel lock on road courses.
