There's some good stuff in the Four Wheel Drift booklet that came with the
game about playability issues. Your PC looks potent enough, lose some
textures from front view, and all mirror textures (I prefer the mirrors that
way, too distracting otherwise) and limit yourself to let's say 13-15AI at
the more "scenic" tracks and you're good to go!! Off course there's stuff to
enhance the game, new sounds and such (not to mention a whole new track ;-),
but I think to truly enjoy the game it's best advised to put some seat time
in and learn to drive the cars instead of trawling the net in search of a
graphic fix. You're going to want to drive on-line someday and in those
races there's no substitute for knowing your car and the tracks like the
back of your hand.
