NR2003: FFB better but still a bit strange?

Why can I feel every bump on the track at Darlington, but the curbs at
Watkins Glen are "invisible" to the FFB?

Ive tried a few different setups with the Momo racing and so far I havent
hit it yet either.  Getting close but cant get rid of the oscillations
without giving up the FF "hang-on" effects I prefer.   I nailed it ez with
GTR2K2 so figure I should be able to at least get close to a similar feel in
NR6..

GTR2002 feels awesome right out of the box with the MOMO Racing.  I have
never been able to get good (GPL-like) FFB from any Papy NASCAR title,
though 2003 is the best yet.

I have posted here also about how to adjust the Damping slider--I have yet
to see an explanation of what it is doing.
