F1RS Manual?

by MrAdamHn » Thu, 18 Mar 1999 04:00:00

I just purchased F1RS and there is not a printed or online maual with the game.
I can download it from UBI Soft but it's 48 MB (which equals a 2 hr d/l for
me).

I have found several web pages that provide car sets, etc for the game, but
nothing in the way of a FAQ related to game play. Is there such a thing?

I have figured most of it out, two biggest questions are the difficulty levels
( is the AI level just harder or do the cars handle more or less realistic too)
and is there a difference in the different cars handling, speed, etc ( or can I
not blame a certain car for my slow lap times :) ).

Don't know.  But do check out www.f1rs.com if you haven't already.

The AI is harder, your car doesn't change (except when you go from "easy" to
"realistic").

The different teams certainly have different power levels, and there are
probably other differences.  I can't attest to handling differences, and the
manual has no info on it.

F1RSRays is a program that lets you change names, teams, power levels.  You
can find it at the above site.

My F1RS came with a manual.  However, the copy I got with my Logitech
Formula Force wheel, did not.  The manual is on the disc in acrobat format,
though.

I do recall a posting from a fellow who had a similar problem.  He contacted
UbiSoft, he said, who gladly provided him with a manual.
