Logitech Formula Force Lights

Logitech Formula Force Lights

I just picked up a Logitech Formula Force wheel (not GP). There were
no instructions but I seem to have gotten everything togeather OK but there
are these lights on the wheel that seem to be "idiot" lights but I dont know
what they are supposed to be telling me.
The Left Light comes on when I start the computer and stays on until I
turn the computer off. The Right light only comes on when Windows is pretty
much finished booting and goes off during a reboot. There was one time when
I was surfing the web and the Right light went out. Curious I booted up GPL
to see if it still worked and everything seemed fine. I continued surfing
for a few hours,  during which the Right Light stayed out. A reboot turned
the light back on.
Could someone out there with a Formula Force and the instructions
please tell me what these lights are trying to say?

I've got such a wheel...

...and that's exactly what my setup does!  I guess it's normal!  :-)

Never seen that!

Well, I dunno, since I've never read the instructions.  But it's
all quite normal.

Hi Joe,

The left light confirms power to the wheel, and the right one does the same
for the software drivers.  So when you turn your pc on, you get power, and
when Windows boots up, you get drivers.  Your driver light shouldn't ever go
out while your pc's on, so that's perhaps a sign of an led going pear-shaped
on you.  But the lights don't do anything else, so you don't really need 'em
anyway.  I've got tape over mine since they bug me at night!

Cheers,

SB

Mine are green lights also. Perhaps the Formula Force wheels made in
Chine have green lights instead of red?
