Does anyone know if MS has any plans for USB versions of their FF stick &
wheel? Their none FF models now are available as such - would have thought
this would be the perfect answer to 'joystick  switching'.

I would have though so too. But I have an MS FF wheel, and a USB MS Sidewinder
joystick, and I have to uninstall the joystick from Control Panel, or GPL gets
all confused.

Called MS tech support, and was told "sorry, that's the way its is."

Unfortunately, I doubt it.  MS has settled on using the Midi signals of
the Joystick port to control it's Force-Feedback.  While it works, you
can see where this could cause problems as far as changes like this...
