I guess the big question is did you guys in Europe get the game yet?

The last I knew this is where things stood

Race Time 12 noon est.
Eldred is hosting the race (Thank you) password RAS
Fixed setups
First race 100 laps at Daytona

Anything changd?

Yes.. release in Holland was delayed untill coming Tuesday :-/

Called the local gamestore but they didn't have it. Of course, the guy
couldn't even answer when they will get it, so it might be that he had
no clue what I was talking about. How more specific than
"Sierra/Papyrus NASCAR 2002 for PC" can one be ? :)

LOL, well, talked to the Norwegian distributor, again, on Friday, they
were supposed to get them late on Friday, they promised to give me a
call as soon as it arrives as I was supposed to drive over there and
pick up a few copies for myself and some friends, hi Ed :-), didn't hear
anything

Same thing in Belgium... although that doesn't constitute much in the way of
"spread". ;-)

Don't let that stop you having a race though... I'll catch some of the
future ones (hopefully).

If it HAS to start at Noon, someone else will have to start it. I probably
won't be home until about 12:45 or so. I don't think the passwords work on an
Open server, so we might be at the mercy of whoever has the server at the time.
When I get home, I can access the server with VNC if need be to
shutdown/restert.

If you used DeMONS/2, you could set it up to automatically start at noon
(with a one hour practice session so you have time to get home and join
in the fun) with a password that you could publish to RAS or a mailing
list, and any other parameters you might deem useful...

Just a thought. :)

Yeah you can set a password up on Open server. The Open part really is just
first one in is the boss. I think you can also set admin password so when
someone uses that password to join they will take over as boss.

I just popped in at 12pm est, and found a 100 lap Daytona race had just
begun.

I thought we had a one hour practice between 12 and 1???

SON OF A ***!!! I thought noon was when the server first opened up and
practice started. I logged on at 12:05 and found the race already in
progress :-((((((

Are you guys planning on doing this again next weekend?
