I'm thinking of buying this wheel, but would really like to know if
Nascar 1 or 2 will work in a DOS window in Win95. Has anyone tried this?
Many Thanks,
Erik

In a DOS window IN WIN95? No Papy sims support FF of course, but I believe the
wheel should still have a centering force. My non-FF Wingman Formula, whose
drivers won't work in DOS, works fine with N2, ICR2, and GP2 when running under
Windows. I believe the comparison of FF wheels at Gamecenter.com mentioned the
WFF's centering effect in non-FF games. Anyone seen otherwise?

The centering effect is fine in non-FF games, but I still cannot get the
control config screen in N2 to accept any imputs from the Logitech WFF wheel.
At one point I had steering (but it pulled to the right a LOT) along with
throttle and brake, but no shifters. I gave up on it and will wait for N2000.
The wheel works great in GPL, with much more precision than I ever had with my
Thrustmaster GP1 wheel (not to diss TM, it's a great product for the money). I
have not tried GP2 or ICR2 with it, GPL seems to take up most of my sim-racing
time these days<g>.

>nope. formula force is windows only.
It's about time Papy releases a DirectInput based game. They can keep
the (admittedly great) Nascar 2 engine inside, they just need to refresh
the interface to the system. On my machine, the sound doesn't work, and
I had hella time getting the graphics to work at all.
Hope this cleared things a little - koma71
