Allegedly, this is more realistic than F1GP. Any comments from anyone
who's played it?

I used to be ***ed to this game. There are only 8 courses in the
championship, and the graphics are very similar. However, it was a very
good game in its time. It was a first real attempt at a simulation
to Formula One. The previous one was Ferrari F1, which is a total failure
since none of the courses are playable. Even though there are numerous
adjustments you can make to the car (even more than F1GP), none of them
seems to influence the car a bit.

GP circuit was a bit arcade-ish, but it was good and enjoyable. Best of all,
it was playble on a 286AT or even an XT.

I can't agree that it was ever more realistic than F1GP, nor more
entertaining.  It was, however, probably the best driving game to date
when it came out, and I spent many happy hours driving it and its
successor, Accolade's The Cycles.

GPC is a game not a sim. Wasn't bad when it came out - some time between the
discovery of fire and the invention of the wheel. 'Nuff said?

I really liked this game very much. It was the first real race game I
played, and I played it for  AGES! It was just a big challenge getting
around the corners  more and more quickly. Unfortunately, the other drivers
were yust ***(too slow, to blocky - had races driving behind two cars for
several laps becauste they stayed side-by-side for laps!) - BTW, I played
that game on a 8088 w/ 8 MHz, quite slow compared with today's systems, but
it worked vey well. I have to say, it was a kind of "f1 driving school" to
me and I like to remember those times lapping the whole field several times
in a single race (in the end I did 30 lap G.P.s with waiting for three laps
at the start and still winning the race from three laps back...) Great game
in its time!!

But I prefer ICR2 today... (Computer games & Hardware DID improve a lot,
didn't it?)

Bye for now, Michael
