It shouldn't on a properly configured computer. (For instance, it
doesn't for me...)

not sure what machine you're running, droze, but be assured that you
dont have to have an absolute powerhouse like steve's.... LOL.. Mine
works fine, on my homebuilt amd486dx,
133mhz (recently did a 20% overclock to 160mhz, but noticed no N2
difference, much) 24 megs of ram, though it did just fine with the
16megs that I had til just last month...
yamaha opls3a sound,,, generic video board with 1meg ram,,, you didnt
say if you were running in windows or dos ??? the frame rates are MUCH
better in dos,,,and the replay saves every lap of a 10% or so race  :)
if you're running out of win95, you might experience some freezes or
screen blanks occasionally,,,unless you DO have a "super puter"  :)

I only have a Cyrix 150+ with 32 megs, a Sound Blaster AWE 32 sound card,
and a STB Lightspeed 128 video card and I've never had it freeze up in
Windows 95 (except when the Leisure Suit Larry Screen Saver was on).

N2 Freeze Up

Hello

My Nascar 2 locked/froze quite often when I first got it. It
turned out to be missed match memory boards. (They were
different speeds as well as one was double sided and the other
single). Since replacing the memory (6 Months ago) with a
match set I have not had a problem.

Check you memory.

Handy^man handily spoke:

Replay lengths are dictated by how much RAM you've got.  I can save an
entire 33% race at Talladega with the 32 megs.  Give me 64, and I can
probably save the whole shootin' match.  BTW, 33% distance replays
result in saved files of about 19 megs, so it's a good idea to use the
replay editor to trim 'em down.

I've got 64 megs and in DOS I can get about 2hrs&20min worth of replay,
the *** is that in win95 I can only get 23 min because of the way w95
uses memory. So much for being able to save long races in the NROS.

I've had it freeze when I try to accelerate time in a Championship
season.  Makes it nice when you crash, you have to leave the race, but
that is a little unfair in my book!  :)
