> SOMEONE NEEDS TO WAKE UP, AND IT IS NOT JUST US.
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE! In the m***sense,
putting the nonpaying individual BEFORE the CUSTOMER SHOWS A TOTAL
LACK OF RESPECT and I think we need to start to putting this in the
perspective.
What would it hurt if they made THESE DISKS AVAILABLE TO US AS
WELL? NOTHING, THAT IS WHAT. It would cost VERY little to
produce extras for the SIM RACING PUBLIC (even to special order if
need be) BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD NOT ONE PEEP ABOUT THAT FROM ANYONE.
ALL I HAVE HEARD IS THIS PIRACY ISSUE AND HOGWASH. IF THEY CAN ISSUE
THE TRACK OUT IF THE "GOODNESS OF THEIR HEARTS" THEY COULD MAKE THEM
AVAILABLE TO THE DEDICATED SIM-RACERS WHO HAVE SPENT HUNDREDS OF
DOLLARS ON THEIR PRODUCTS OVER THE YEARS AND SHOWN SUPPORT FOR THEM.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO WAKE UP, AND IT IS NOT JUST US.
Thank you and have a nice day.

holder of a clue...
Sure, if something is really not out there and you have made a valiant
effort to look, even if it was something out there last week but no more,
then I really think that is great. But if you just like to jump on and start
posting without regard to everyone else - well, it is like the guy who walks
into a conversation and starts spouting off stuff when he doesn't even know
what the others were talking about.
ANNOYING - but I should expect this from a lazy American who thinks they
should be handed everything on a silver spoon without working for it.
PS - did you ever consider (as pointed out in this here ng) that Papyrus has
no say in the matter? Then again, you are probably the same guy that pitches
a fit with the grocery store clerk because milk cost too much.

He is the culprit!

If you feel you are not getting your moneys worth from Papyrus products then
don't buy them.
As an un-lazy American who works his ass off, I don't appreciate that
remark. Where are you from?
Duh... Papy knew damn well that we would easily insert the
track into our Nascar3 installations. So all of your caps asside,
you are totally full of shit.
Um... IMHO :-)

Without working for it??? And, where, may I ask, are you from?
I personally find it a poor move on Papy's part (though they may have been
blocked by the agreement) not to post the tracks on the net...so long-time
dedicated purchasers like myself (ICR1 and both track packs, N1 and the
track pack, ICR2, N2, N99, GPL, N3, NL, and likely anything in the future,
especially a GPL-based open-wheel sim (hey, even IRL would be OK, it could
be patched)) could download it. Of course, it seems that they don't care
too much about the huge amount of people downloading it illegally (myself
included - it really should've been in N1) so BE THANKFUL FOR THAT...I
haven't heard of any sites being shut down (at least not yet) for posting
that stuff. Oh well...this isn't my dream world...of course, if it was, my
'70 GMC pickup would have a blown 502 (No replacement for
displacement...about as American as it gets, no tiny over-head-cam 4-banger
***here) all of my PCs would be running 850 MHz Athlons (overclocked
faster of course) with GeForce video cards (and GPL would fly on them!), I'd
be playing GPL2-based ICR5, and Chevy would produce the 600+ hp prototype
ZL1 that Jon Moss cooked up....Car and Driver TV, watch it... As it is, my
'70 GMC has a very mild gas-guzzlin 350, my PCs run a Celeron 450 (300a) and
a PII 466 (350) with a G200/V2 and a Rendition, I'm playing GPL and
(whenever money permits) Ferrari 355 Challenge at the arcade, and Chevy is
debating whether to produce the Camaro at all (tho I would rather have it
rest in peace than return as a castrated FWD wannabe...)
*end rant* *sigh*
Guess I'll have to be content for what I've got...it's better than lots of
other people, poor chumps have to pay $4 a gallon elsewhere...
