The posts i've seen of systems better than mine but having crappier
frame rate, why? I've got a p3 450, 128mb ram, and a nvidia tnt 16mb
video card. All my graphics are all the way up and i'm beyond satisfied.
Try this in your player file;

Mirrors are off except for billboards, a defining characteristic of a
wall. Visible cars is at five, the main drain of them all. And my res is
at 800x600 when i'm with the ai, by my self 1024x768 works great.
But why is it a 600, 300mb and a tnt 2 work less well than mine? Oh
well...

Shaun could you use Fraps to get an actual framerate for us, in my
experience one persons smooth can be another persons 'jerkovision'
Certainly your seetings are higher than mine I get around 20 FPS on
the start line at Monza and an average of 30 in the race with these
settings.

1024 x 768 Celeron 366 OC'd to 567, 196mb Ram Creative TNT2 Ultra
using Creatives 3.68 drivers OC'd to 180 Core 225 Mem.  I'm using
Rambooster to ensure appx 180mb free ram

Ps Have you noticed the corwd is animated on some tracks well cool.
